The Clinic of Physiatry and Sports Medicine of Montreal is specialized in the diagnosis and functional evaluation of all traumatic and degenerative mechanical afflictions of the musculoskeletal system. The clinic offers an individual and thorough approach in order to optimize the patients’ rehabilitation.
The clinic counts on several physiatrists who are specialized in different sectors of physiatry ( Our physicians). We use state of the art medical equipment such as a brand new Fluoroscopy apparatus and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, which allow a more precise clinical diagnosis and/or injection techniques with pin-point accuracy.
Furthermore, the presence of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, massotherapists, osteopaths, acupuncturists, and orthotists, under the same roof, facilitates our multidisciplinary approach, leading with clear cut communication between therapist and physiatrist; all to enhance the healing and well-being of the patient.
What is a physiatrist?
Physiatrists are physicians specialized in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating patients of all ages suffering from problems affecting primarily the musculoskeletal and neurological systems, and related disabilities.
They work in multidisciplinary teams with fellow physiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists, osteopaths, massotherapists, social workers, and the nursing staff of hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and medical clinics.
